The Clever Coffee Dripper maximizes the benefits of french press coffee brewing (the ability to steep coffee grounds with hot water) and the benefits of a traditional ceramic cone dripper (total control over water temperature) while removing the drawbacks of both, as you don't get the sediment in your cup like you would with a french press and unlike a regular cone dripper that begins dripping as soon as you pour water, this dripper doesn't begin dripping until after you place it on top of your cup or mug.

We highly recommend using #4 Melitta Flavor Enhancing coffee filters with your CCD , they have micro-perforations which allow coffee oils to make it into your cup along with some of the insoluble coffee particles that make fresh roasted coffee taste so great. You can also use a #6 filter, but this size will extend above the dripper. #4's fit perfectly.

The Clever fits cups and mugs that have a top between 1.5" and 3.75" inches in diameter. Not dishwasher / microwave safe. PBA-free plastic.

Directions for brewing coffee with the Clever Coffee Dripper

1. Place a paper filter into the dripper, rinse filter with hot water to remove paper taste.
2. Add freshly ground coffee into dripper (22 grams or 2-3 rounded tablespoons).
3. Add 12 oz/360 mL of near boiling water (195-205 F).
4. Cover dripper with included lid to prevent heat loss and maintain consistent steep temp.
5. At 60 seconds in, gently submerge floating grounds with a spoon, recover.
6. At 4 minutes, place dripper on mug to begin dripping.
7. Enjoy one of the best cups of coffee you've ever had!
